Guitarist / vocalist GG Amos is an artist in the West Coast Blues tradition, having been raised in the California capitol of Sacramento. Now based in San Francisco, she’s been honing her craft as a songwriter and entertainer utilizing the r&b, jazz, funk and latin elements that make west coast blues what it is. For the past 26 years she’s earned a reputation as a riveting performer with a distinctive, expressive style, emphasizing soulful communication with her audience. GG has recently returned from a successful month long tour of Poland, playing to packed houses in theaters and clubs all over the country. More European tours are planned.

Performing with GG will be Taki Komori, an extraordinary keyboardist from Kyoto, Japan. A master of Hammond B3 and various Electric piano sounds and along with being GG Amos’ main collaborator for nearly 10 years, has backed legends Son Seals, Byther Smith, Frankie Lee and recently, Earl Thomas. Randy Odell has been drumming with GG since 2008, backing her on her recent tour of Poland, and collaborating with her on song arrangements. With an extensive background in jazz, reggae and a variety of other music styles, he is a sought after drummer for many Bay Area artist’s recording sessions. London, the most recent addition to the band, has made a name for himself as an electrifying and joyful bassist to listen to and watch. His most recent projects are with guitarists Bobby Young, Big Cat Tolefree and Big Daddy Cade among many others. This year London won a Bay Area Blues Society award for “Blues Bass Player of the Year”.

GG and her band will be performing 2 sets of nearly all original compositions and you will hear why she’s causing a buzz, giving a modern spin to a seminal American music form while putting on a hot show. Her EP of ‘West Coast’, a simmering groove fused tune co-written with longtime musical partner Taki Komori, will be available for purchase at her Avonova show. In 1997, GG released her debut CD “Gotts Ta Go” which received radio airplay in the US and abroad.
